Born in the Bahamas, Beryl Hutchinson moved to the United States following the death of her husband Willard. She is now a naturalized American citizen and lives with her daughter Cora in Tamarac, Florida.
Through most of her career she served as a personal chef for various prominent people, including Clint Murchison, Jr. at Spanish Cay in the Bahamas.
She is retired and serves as the honored matriarch of an extended family that includes seven children, 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandsons.
