Mixed Alcoholic Drinks

Mixed alcoholic drinks have a history of their own. Each mixed drink has a creator who has closely guarded its secret recipe. The Island Remembered shares both the history of several classic mixed alcoholic drinks and their original recipes.

The Rum Dum is the gold standard for mixed alcoholic drinks and can only be found at the Lyford Cay Club. Bartender Wilfred Sands created this drink in 1971 when he was asked to mix a rum drink that was not too sweet and designed to be served in a short glass. Another mixed drink created by Wilfred Sands is the Grand Slam, created for a club tennis tournament.

These and other mixed alcoholic drink recipes are revealed for the first time in The Island Remembered.
